More ART @ CHC: NC Relic Towns

Many cities and towns across America have lost the original purpose for their existence.  Quite a few of those are in North Carolina, and I visited four of them recently.  I selected 12 photos from those visits to post at ART @ CHC.  Follow the link — hope you enjoy.

P.S.  Just a reminder, and a request: phones are not the best way to view art.  Thanks.

I especially like 11 and 12 just for their artistry. Views in cities and towns can often be depressing. They emphasize the failures and lives that have been and are no more.

    Beautiful pictures Craig.

Nice. #s 1, 4, and 9 remind me of the village I grew up in. Jordan, New York’s best days were in the nineteenth century, when its location on the Erie Canal gave it access to New York City and places beyond. Since then it’s been in a slow decline to a small outer suburb of Syracuse.

    Thanks y’all, for checking in.

Your eye for both composition & detail is evident as usual! #s2, 8, 11 & 12 are my faves for different reasons.
