I value readers, subscribers, and interactions with you. I hope you will be a regular reader and a when-inspired commenter. Aside from my enjoyment of writing, comments are my only compensation. If you would rather write a note instead of a comment, please send it to the100billionthperson at your friendly online post-office gmail.com.
My policy on comments is to allow readers to make the points they wish to make without tiresome counter-argument from me, as long as the tone is cordial and constructive. I am happy to provide a forum for other points of view. The fact that I may not respond to a reader’s comment does not mean I did not value it — rather it reflects my willingness to step aside and let people speak for themselves. For further info, see my Terms of Service.

How to Subscribe
Subscribers receive an ad-free email notice from the MailPoet service the morning after a new post appears, which is usually 3 to 5 times a month. To subscribe, enter your name and email below, check the not-a-robot-box (only if you are truly not a robot), then click the sign-up button. You will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. Click the confirm link in that email and you will be good to go.
Note: If these notifications do not show up in your inbox, please check your spam folder — if you see them there, mark them as non-spam so that they won’t land there again. Let me know if you find that your notifications are always marked as spam, as I specifically chose the MailPoet service to try to avoid this. Thanks.
To manage your subscription (i.e., edit your name, email or unsubscribe), click the link at the bottom of your most recent email notice. Or just write me and ask. No problem.
I miss you on FB, (You’re one of the sane ones), but enjoy reading your blog…
Neat Blog! Interested to read old posts
I note that the link in your “About” page has been updated to a new URL: http://www.prb.org/articles/how-many-people-have-ever-lived-on-earth/
The new methodology at the PRB site wants to make you more like 107 Billionth. But they have many assumptions, so I think you can easily continue your claim to be the 100 Billionth, without kowtowing to their math and needing to backdate your birth certificate to the early 1800s! ??
I come to you at the suggestion of Sue and Lucian (pls don’t publish their names!) and Sue’s thought that you and I have the same quirky way of looking at the world. I find this a huge compliment; you don’t need to. Anyway, look forward to reading more.
