Being grown up / is so complicated / why can’t I / just be a kid”
Our Henrik and Karsten are so sweet and bright–they should be illegal! I just wish that we were closer to be together day to day. I wish that jobs/life would be that families could be geographically close.
Karsten sometimes wishes he could be a teenager, whereas Henrik wishes he could be a grown-up. Karsten, in his year-older wisdom, knows you can still do way more as a teenager, and not have the responsibility of a grown-up! Karsten also wants to be a teenager so he can take out his former pre-school teacher, Miss Barbara, on a date. She is 51, and Karsten has already said he wants to marry her. They have such a special relationship, and we will always bring Karsten in to visit her at daycare when we pick up Henrik. It is wonderful being witness to the friendships and relationships the kids have independently developed.
These boys brighten our lives whether we’re with them or just thinking of them.
Their little thoughts, actions, and nuances are each their own and we see them changing and growing up right before our eyes. And that’s as it should be.
Now all we have to do is keep Karsten from proposing marriage at too young an age.
Well, thank you for that cuteness overload!! Enjoy all these precious days whenever you can! ❤️
