{"id":8383,"date":"2014-06-13T17:37:19","date_gmt":"2014-06-13T21:37:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chcollins.com\/100Billion\/?p=8383"},"modified":"2022-08-01T07:43:08","modified_gmt":"2022-08-01T11:43:08","slug":"live-france-days-4-7-dordogne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chcollins.com\/100Billion\/2014\/06\/live-france-days-4-7-dordogne\/","title":{"rendered":"Days 4-7 in France:  The Dordogne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To bring the blog up to date, here is where we have been so far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday June 5:\u00a0 Charles de Gaulle airport to Bordeaux, via the TGV<\/li>\n<li>Friday June 6:\u00a0 Stroll and shop in old-city Bordeaux<\/li>\n<li>Saturday June 7:\u00a0 Tour St. Emilion and drive to Sarlat<\/li>\n<li>Sunday June 8:\u00a0 Stroll through Sarlat and visit an outdoor festival<\/li>\n<li>Monday June 9:\u00a0 Visit the <span class=\"st\">Eyrignac manor gardens, <\/span>Ch\u00e2teau de F\u00e9nelon and villages in the Sarlat area<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday June 10:\u00a0 Boat ride on the Dordogne River, stroll and shop in Domme<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday June 11:\u00a0 Morning market in Martel, walk through Rocamadour, picnic lunch, shopping in Sarlat<\/li>\n<li>Thursday June 12: Drive to Limoges, visit some porcelain shops, drive to Paris, take the metro to the hotel (a story in itself) and get a good night&#8217;s sleep<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you know, I have not had time to post every day.\u00a0 Not having Photoshop at hand has made the process of selecting, adjusting and resizing photos for the blog a lot slower.\u00a0 When I shoot, I generally underexpose a bit so that I don&#8217;t blow out highlights and skies &#8212; I figure I can go back later and brighten the foreground in Photoshop.\u00a0 But since I do not want to post bad photos here (<em>ca alors<\/em>! &#8211; my reputation!) I have only been selecting shots that are rather evenly lit.<\/p>\n<p>Here then is a collection that spans the time from our arrival in Sarlat (we stayed at La Lanterne, a warm and friendly B&amp;B
