Here I thought that the only justifiable reason for our presence in Afghanistan was to capture or kill the murderer of almost 3000 Americans on September 11,\u00a0 2001.\u00a0 Nine years later, the murderer remains free, we are not where the murderer is, and he is not where we are.\u00a0 The loss of life and limb from roadside bombs in Afghanistan is simply senseless and outrageous in this light.<\/p>\n
I wonder whether part of the Mad Tea Party movement is rooted in frustration with our failure to bring to justice the one person alive who has done the most to change the world for the worse.<\/p>\n
In our voting booths we elected Barack Obama, but in our hearts we voted for Superman.\u00a0\u00a0 Last time I checked, our president was not wearing a cape.\u00a0 Unless the Tea Party plans to put Clark Kent on the ballot in 2012, our nation will remain in the hands of a mere mortal: Osama bin Laden.\u00a0 Let’s get bin Laden, or let’s get out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
