{"id":5964,"date":"2018-04-23T17:55:13","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T21:55:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chcollins.com\/100Billion\/?p=5964"},"modified":"2022-08-01T07:42:54","modified_gmt":"2022-08-01T11:42:54","slug":"its-a-boy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chcollins.com\/100Billion\/2018\/04\/its-a-boy\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s a Boy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>[Originally published July 22, 2013 &#8211; reposted April 23, 2018]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A boy was born today, a very special boy.\u00a0 He was born to no fanfare save that of his father celebrating in a Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, hospital.\u00a0 He was born hours ago, but we still do not know his name.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Where are the news media?<\/p>\n<p>What a royal future this boy has.\u00a0 He can expect to live to be 54 years old.\u00a0 And according to this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.state.gov\/documents\/organization\/210738.pdf\">U.S. State Department report<\/a>, he may encounter a few problems along the way.\u00a0 &#8220;The Republic of the Congo is a source and destination country for children, men, and women subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking. The majority of children trafficked within the country migrate from rural to urban areas to serve as domestic workers for relatives or family friends.
